Thank You, All

Thank you to everyone who has commented on the recent posts. Your encouragement and love are helping to get through difficult days. My sister is still doing amazingly well. She reads the Bible with other inmates and they encourage each other. There are those in there that do not know the Lord and they try to work with those people as a team. There is much to be learned from how an inmate lives.

Andrea - I love you and miss you! We need to get together soon.

Tracy - The same goes for you! Wasn't our annual Cracker Barrel meeting supposed to be in January? I guess we missed it. We'll have to have one really soon.

And here are some things I have learned from the classes at work:

1. 75% of the jobs available are never made known publically
2. 64% of the jobs obtained last year were through networking (knowing someone who knows someone...)
3. I have a positioning statement that I can give to people to ask them...hey, do you know of anyone who has a position open for a ....?
4. Never ever give your resume to HR. Call the company you want to work for and find out who is the hiring manager and give your resume to them.

Okay - well, I actually wanted to write my first ever blog on post modernism, but I guess that will have to wait. I'm off to work a bit early today to do five days of work in the time given today and tomorrow. And oh by the way, I have to explain everything I do as I am training my replacement. :( I feel so disorganized this week, but the lady I am training is very good at asking questions. I feel terrible though, because she has a neverending headache. (I had one for the first month that I worked here.) So ya'll have a great day and pray peace and single-mindedness over me and my trainee today.

No, thank YOU! Thank you for a lovely dinner (candlelit), and for letting us borrow your son for a night. He was very good, and LOVED the GI Joe's (I think I know what to get him for his B-day or Christmas). Sorry he had to go without snoopy for a night. We're still praying for your sister and your job situation.
