My 100th Post

Interesting...this is my 100th post and this is all I have to say:

"Speech is conveniently located midway between thought and action, where it often substitutes for both."

my site

ok...i don't have much time, but i realized that i never told you all where my new web site is.

it has been relocated and rebuilt. to visit my site, you may now go to http://homefries.0moola.com

it's a little different and i'll probably end up remodeling the start page, because it's not as user friendly as i thought it would be. to go to any of the pages, you have to mouseover the thing and then click at the part in the middle that changes. sorry if it's a pain at first...have fun though!

The Snake Game

Jason hasn't updated his blog or anything, but pass this along to everyone you know! He has officially published his first game. It's a free download and you can download it from download.com, click here to be redirected: Get it from CNET Download.com!

This game is awesome. I designed most of the levels. It's a new spin on the classic snake game. It was a joint effort between me and Jason. I came up with the original idea of eating numbers in order and thought it would be a good learning aid for young kids who are learning to count. Then as it blossomed (and snowballed), we kept coming up with new things to add to it. Jason programmed the entire game and made all the animation/graphics that you see! Go download the game and try it out. If you like it, then rate it on download.com...that would really make my husband's day!

The Twilight Zone

I seriously feel like I'm in the Twilight Zone...Reasons:

1. At my new office - everyone gets along with everyone and there aren't any back-biters! Can we all say, Praise the LORD!!!

2. I've had limited time for personal computing lately and when I logged on to bloglines tonight, there were 42 posts to read!!! Where were all you people when I was off work and needed stuff to read? I got to read about three or four tonight.

3. I had like 25 e-mails to read tonight. I usually get one a day when I'm lucky.

4. On myspace, I can't keep up with all the messages that are coming in from my old friends from work. It's amazing that we've really stayed in contact, but there are a few that I really miss. One of them just had her baby! Yay!!! A miracle of God - she has endometriosis and is not supposed to be able to conceive. She was on the brink of a divorce, but God rescued her marriage and provided a beautiful baby boy. She reads my blog, so Hi R! (She's one of those little flies buzzing around here:)

Ok...so that's a few of my Twilight Zone insights. Another reason I feel like I'm in the twilight zone...the time change...ugh! On top of all this, I just started my job and my first weekend off was spent in TN with my brother- and sister-in-law and time seemed to really fly by. And yet, here we are back home and it's 10:30 and I have to get up at 5:00.

To answer Mr. Dustcircle - I am a Cash Applications Specialist for a national company headquartered in Indianapolis, IN. I absolutely love it there! My manager is an incredible lady and I really love working for her and she inspires me. What more could I ask for? (Ok, I hear Momma Cupp out there telling me that the location could be better. You just keep praying for that door to open for something close to home and I'll listen as God leads.)

Jehovah - Jireh

The Lord has provided! I start my new job today. My salary is equal to what my last salary was. The position is downtown on the circle as a cash applications specialist. So, you all must join me in praising God that He always has the perfect time.

He allowed me more than one month home with my family and He allowed me to get back to the basics in my life...you know...returning to the Law. So, I got this little revival flame in my heart now and I can't believe how much of the Word I have been consuming. I thank Him that He is alive and active in me. His Word is sharper than any two-edged sword and those rivers of living water are flowing!

Sing for joy for the Lord has triumphed!

The Plan of the Enemy

I can't help but wonder....

When God spoke to Job, you know that the devil had to be taking notes. God asked Job many questions that started with, "do you know...?" Well, I think that on this day that God spoke to Job that the enemy was there taking notes and thinking, "If only these humans can have the knowledge and understand these things, then they will not need God..."

So, I think it was on that day that the enemy decided that people needed to become smarter than God. Of course, this isn't possible, but how deceived the world is these days. In the world today, God has become a boring entity.

How do we get others to see that our God lives and that He still heals and delivers? I think we've got to be ready to let go of our selves and we have to allow God to have our hurts and pains. We have to start seeing ourselves as a changed people...as aliens who do not belong in this world. We do not have the cares and worries. We have complete faith in Him who says, "Never will I leave you, never will I forsake you." We also have to believe in our hearts that because we serve Him and because we are called by His name, that He WILL supply all of our needs according to His riches in glory.

So yes, I am preaching to myself, but I need it. I desparately hunger for God and long to be filled with Him. I'm tired of wondering what I could do differently. I want to leave my empty hopes behind and I long for the prize that He has set before me. Use me, Lord...I'm all yours.
